The Essex Heart Fund was delighted to award one of its first grants to Essex Community First Aid – Events Volunteers.

This organisation of dedicated volunteers provides first aid at public events held by charities, completely free of charge. They also provide free first aid training to groups and clubs. This first grant was for £275 which helped them to buy a training defibrillator. The need for the group’s services has been understandably reduced during the COVID pandemic but with charity events now being undertaken the need for trained volunteers has never been greater.
