Burnham Golf Club’s new Ladies’ Captain has chosen the Essex Heart Fund as her charity of the year.

Elaine Elphinstone took over as Ladies’ Captain on 28 October and has already started raising money for the Fund. Elaine said ‘There are so many worthwhile charities but I wanted something that was truly local so that club members could see how their donations were being used. The Heart Fund is the perfect choice’.

There will be a number of events throughout the year but you can support Elaine via her donation page.

The club even has a hole ominously named Cardiac Hill but we sincerely hope that the only thing raised this year is lots of money rather than anyone’s blood pressure. Thanks Elaine!
